Local planner data
Tasks, estimates, day allocations, work-done notes, dismissed items, integration metadata, and app settings are stored locally on the computer in SQLite.
Privacy
Local-first by design.
Effort Plan is designed as a desktop planner. The current product does not require a hosted Effort Plan account or cloud workspace.
Read-only imports
The current release imports source items into local planner records. It does not update Azure DevOps, Outlook Calendar, Outlook Tasks, calendars, or task lists.
Outlook local sources
For Outlook Calendar and Tasks on macOS, Effort Plan reads data already synced to the computer through local Apple Calendar and Reminders APIs where possible.
Backups exclude secrets
Export/import is for planner data and settings. It does not include passwords, OAuth tokens, Azure DevOps personal access tokens, or other authentication secrets.
Website analytics
The website can be deployed without analytics. If analytics are added, use privacy-friendly page and download click measurement only, with no ad tracking.
