Effort Plan is designed as a desktop planner. The current product does not require a hosted Effort Plan account or cloud workspace.
Read-only imports
The current release imports source items into local planner records. It does not update the original task, calendar, email, or project system.
Local Mac sources
For Local Calendar and Local Tasks on macOS, Effort Plan reads data already synced to the computer through local Apple Calendar and Reminders APIs where possible. Local Outlook Mail reads flagged email metadata from Microsoft Outlook on this Mac and does not import message body content.
Backups exclude secrets
Export/import is for planner data and settings. It does not include passwords, sign-in tokens, Azure DevOps access tokens, or other authentication secrets.
Product health signals
Effort Plan may send anonymous activation and reliability signals such as installs, launches, sync success or failure, billing start failures, and app errors. It does not send task counts, task titles, capacity, effort values, calendar content, email content, or source-item details.
